MED 290R Medical Coder Internship Seminar

.50 credit hours

Weekly discussion of the progress and experiences in the internship will be held. Students will prepare for the CPC-A examination. The course includes a review of theory and skills from the medical coding program to prepare students for entry into the workforce. Prerequisite: MED 230S, MED 233S, MED 234S with grades of C or better, or departmental permission. Completion of pre-internship competency checklist. Co-requisite: MED 290L.
