NUR 165S Clinical Applications Nursing I8.00 credit hours
Focuses on the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to practice evidence-based patient-centered nursing. Competency areas include focused assessment of human needs and focused physical assessment of patients with medical-surgical and mental health changes. Competency areas include developing understanding of teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, safety and informatics. Clinical opportunities focus on in-patient adults in medical-surgical settings, and community clinical placements including out-patient mental health treatment and out-patient care of medical-surgical patients. Prerequisite: NUR 135S , ALH 151S , BIO 125S , and CHM 111S with a grade of “C” or better. Lab Fee: $252 (Additional fees will apply for online, flex and webflex sections.) FALL | SPRING
