MLT 291L Directed Practice I4.00 credit hours
The first of two semesters of off-campus directed practice held in an affiliated clinical laboratory. Students rotate through assigned clinical laboratory departments learning skills and procedures particular to that area and completing assigned practicals. With observation, students integrate theory and lab skills to successfully and accurately complete routine lab tests requested, trouble-shoot as necessary, and develop professional rapport with members of the health care team. Prerequisite: MLT 121S with a grade of ‘B’ or better and acceptance into the MLT program. Co-requisite: MLT 291R . FALL LATE
