Systems Administration Short-Term Technical Certificate

The Systems Administration Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the skills to enter a new job field or advance in their current one. Students who complete this certificate are qualified to install, configure, manage, troubleshoot, and support IT systems, whether on-premise or in the cloud. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and complete an application for certificate.
NOTE Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing.
Program Outcomes ►
The student will
- apply positive ethical standards across various situations and industries;
- use effective interpersonal skills to discuss important industry-specific concepts;
- demonstrate an ability to build, configure, manage, or troubleshoot databases, operating systems, or servers using industry-standard tools and techniques;
- demonstrate an ability to perform system administration tasks or apply cloud computing concepts to ensure operational efficiency, stability, and security; and
- establish and implement security measures to protect information assets and maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
