The Systems Administration Certificate is a one-year program incorporating numerous industry-related certifications. Students who complete this degree are qualified to install, configure, manage, troubleshoot, and support IT systems, whether on-premise or in the cloud.♦

Program Outcomes ►
The student will

  1. apply positive ethical standards across various situations and industries;
  2. use effective interpersonal skills to discuss important industry-specific concepts and to interact in diverse team environments;
  3. communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through written, oral, and digital means to convey industry-related information;
  4. demonstrate an ability to build, configure, manage, or troubleshoot databases, operating systems, or servers using industry-standard tools and techniques;
  5. apply analysis and design techniques and project management principles to plan, execute, and complete IT projects and systems within scope, time, and budget constraints;
  6. demonstrate an ability to perform system administration tasks or apply cloud computing concepts to ensure operational efficiency, stability, and security;
  7. utilize database management systems to design, create, and maintain databases that support business operations, ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and availability; and
  8. establish and implement security measures to protect information assets and maintain data confidentiality, integrity, and availability.
