Transfer Agreements 

The Human Resource Management program provides students with the skills and knowledge of federal, state and local laws needed to effectively manage the employment-related issues of a company and its employees. Students will learn how to carefully hire employees, develop compensation and benefit plans, create employee training and development programs, implement plant safety and industrial hygiene programs and handle labor negotiations. Upon admission to Edison State, students presenting Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) certification, will receive academic credit for the following Business Management courses.  NOTE  Total credit earned through credit by examination is limited to 30 hours.

HR assistant or generalist, interviewer, recruiter, trainer, labor relations, safety coordinator and salary and benefits administrator 

Program Outcomes ►
The student will

analyze business case studies and outline appropriate recommendations;

apply and interpret international, federal, state and local laws on business operations;
