Transfer Agreements  

The Government and Non-Profit Accounting Short-Term Technical Certificate covers the essentials of government and not-for-profit financial management, including accounting and financial reporting, tax compliance, governance, and assurance. All credits earned can also be applied toward an associate degree in accounting.
NOTE  Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE  Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing.  


Program Outcomes ►
The student will

  1. demonstrate basic skills in written and oral communication;
  2. use basic interpersonal skills and interact in team environments;
  3. demonstrate an introductory understanding of global world/economic/business issues;
  4. recognize the value of good ethical standards and their application to business and accounting;
  5. recognize basic cultural differences and respect differing points of view in the business environment;
  6. demonstrate basic proficiency with business technology for both research and communication of accounting information;
  7. identify the basic components of the external environment of a business and explain how these elements influence fundamental change; and
  8. apply the foundational principles of financial, managerial, governmental, and non-profit accounting.
