Accounting Certificate | Part-Time

|
The Accounting Certificate will prepare students for an entry-level position in the accounting field and can be completed in one year. Course work in this program articulates into the Associate of Applied Business degree in Accounting.
Program Outcomes ►
The student will
- demonstrate effective skills in written and oral communication;
- use solid interpersonal skills and interact in team environments;
- demonstrate a solid understanding of global world/economic/business issues;
- recognize the value of good ethical standards and their application to business and accounting;
- develop an understanding of cultural differences and respect differing points of view in the business environment;
- demonstrate solid proficiency with business technology for both research and communication of accounting information;
- identify the important components of the external environment of a business and explain how the environment influences change; and
- apply the foundational principles of financial and managerial accounting.
