The Software Testing Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the skills to enter a new job field or advance in their current one. Software testing is a career field that could be pursued by anyone interested in working on computers. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and submit an application for certificate.
NOTE  Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE  Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing. 

Program Outcomes ►
The student will

  1. apply positive ethical standards across various situations and industries;
  2. use effective interpersonal skills to discuss important industry-specific concepts and interact in diverse team environments;
  3. communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders through written, oral, and digital means to convey industry-related information;
  4. demonstrate an ability to test software using various industry-recognized methods; and
  5. apply analysis and design techniques and project management principles to plan, execute, and complete IT projects and systems within scope, time, and budget constraints.
