The Banking Certificate will prepare students for an entry-level position in the banking field and can be completed in one year. Course work in this program articulates into the Associate of Applied Business degree in Banking. Curricula base developed by the American Bankers Association.
Program Outcomes ►
The student will
- demonstrate effective skills in written and oral communication;
- use solid interpersonal skills and interact in team environments;
- demonstrate a solid understanding of global world/economic/business issues;
- recognize the value of good ethical standards and their application to business and banking;
- develop an understanding of cultural differences and respect differing points of view in the business environment;
- demonstrate solid proficiency with business technology for both research and communication of banking fundamentals and financial information;
- identify the important components of the external environment of a business and explain how the environment influences change; and
- demonstrate foundational knowledge of the banking industry and essential financial concepts.
