The Entrepreneurship Certificate provides students with a range of knowledge in several areas of business that will help the entrepreneur start a business or manage an existing business effectively. This option provides skills in accounting, marketing, human resources and management that are necessary to start a successful business. Course work in this program articulates into the Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Management.
Program Outcomes ►
The student will
- demonstrate skills in oral and written presentation and establish a foundation of confidence in the skills necessary to own and operate a business;
- apply entrepreneurial opportunities for new business ventures success;
- identify implementation issues including financial, legal, operational, and administrative procedures involved in start-up of new business ventures;
- apply decision-making and problem-solving skills needed to secure business success; and
- identify and secure customers, stakeholders, and team members through networks, primary customer research, competitive and industry analyses to pursue an initial target market for real-world projects.
