Industrial Electrical Controls Short-Term Technical Certificate


The Industrial Electrical Controls Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the skills to enter a new job field or advance in their current one. This Short-Term Technical Certificate gives students the basic skills needed to program and troubleshoot electronic devices used in industrial applications. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and complete an application for certificate. Course work in this program articulates into the Associate of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering Technology | Automation and Robotics.
NOTE  Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE  Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing. 

Program Outcomes ►
The student will

  1. demonstrate applications of electronics and electrical components to industrial controls design;
  2. develop controls design techniques using the latest technology;
  3. demonstrate application of accepted industry safety practices; and
  4. demonstrate problem-solving skills and troubleshooting techniques in electrical controls.
