Human Resource Management Short-Term Technical Certificate

The Human Resource Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the skills to enter a new job field or advance in their current one. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and complete an application for certificate. Course work in this program articulates into the Associate of Applied Business degree in Human Resource Management.
NOTE Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing.

The student will

identify and address ethical issues within Human Resources, effectively staffing the organization;
create and deliver quality employee training and development in a team environment;
apply accounting principles to prepare and maintain compensation and benefits; and
demonstrate skills in written and oral communication.
