Business Short-Term Technical Certificate

The Business Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the skills to enter a new job field or advance in their current one. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and complete an application for certificate. Course work in this program articulates into the Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Management.
NOTE Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing.

Program Outcomes ►
The student will

apply problem-solving techniques in effective selling and customer service;
demonstrate effective skills in written and oral communication;
apply accounting concepts and methods to interpret financial reports for management meetings;
analyze the content of business processes with an emphasis on goods and services; and
identify ethical issues to specific business situations.
