Business Systems Certificate

The Business Systems Certificate prepares students for work in an office environment and also includes business-related courses. It is an important first step towards completion of an Associate of Applied Business degree in Business Systems or toward an entry-level job in the workforce. This certificate provides students with exposure to a well-rounded complement of business and internet technology courses.♦ 


Program Outcomes ►
The student will

  1. apply positive ethical standards across various situations and industries;
  2. use effective interpersonal skills to discuss important industry-specific concepts and to interact in diverse team environments;
  3. demonstrate an ability to build, configure, manage, or troubleshoot common applications, databases, operating systems, programming code, networks, or servers using industry-standard tools and techniques;
  4. evaluate and analyze problems and apply the tools of logical problem solving;
  5. demonstrate essential computer skills in areas such as applications, operating systems, or programming; and
  6. demonstrate basic business skills in accounting, finance, and management, as well as awareness of economic and business issues.
