NUR 300S Professional Nursing Concepts

4.00 credit hours

Focuses on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to practice evidence-based, client-centered nursing. Competency areas include the role of the professional nurse and its historical, philosophical, theoretical, and social developments. Clinical judgement criteria, ethical/legal criteria, and political components of professional nursing practice are examined. Prerequisite: Department acceptance into the RN-BSN program is required.
