NUR 165S Clinical Applications Nursing I 8.00 credit hours
Focuses on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to practice evidence-based, patient-centered nursing. Competency areas include focused assessment of human needs, focused physical assessment of patients with medical-surgical and mental health changes, and understanding of teamwork and collaboration. Quality improvement, safety, and informatics are also covered. Clinical opportunities focus on in-patient adults in medical-surgical settings, and community clinical placements including out-patient mental health treatment and out-patient care of medical-surgical patients. Prerequisite: NUR 135S with a grade of “C” or better. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: BIO 126S . Lab Fee: $219 (Additional fees will apply for online, flex and webflex sections.) FALL | SPRING
