EMT 110S Emergency Medical Technician8.00 credit hours
The Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification course covers all areas of emergency and pre-hospital medical care that may be encountered at the scene of accidents and serious illnesses. The course includes competencies demonstrating the role of the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) in the health care system, rapid skill assessment, data interpretation, and management of illnesses/injuries. Successful completion of this course will allow students to register for the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians Exam. A criminal records background check is required prior to admission into the program. Prerequisite: Department approval. Recommended: American Heart Association (AHA) CPR certification.
