PTA 101S Intro to Physical Therapist Assisting

Introductory course for students accepted into the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. Introduce aspects of the career of Physical Therapist Assisting, including concepts applied to physical therapy. Instruction includes infection control and standard precautions, vital signs, proper body mechanics, bed mobility, transfers, and skeletal and muscular anatomy as required for the Physical Therapist Assistant. Prerequisite: Department acceptance. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: BIO 125S , MTH 125S , ALH 101S , and ALH 151S . Lab Fee: $103 (Additional fees will apply for online, flex and webflex sections.)
