LEG 231S Litigation I3.00 credit hours
Overview of a civil trial with emphasis on the rules of civil procedure and the considerations in the early stages of a lawsuit. The substantive law of torts is taught and presented as the basis from which a case is developed that proceeds through the courts. Students consider jurisdiction and draft the necessary pleadings at the commencement of a lawsuit. Prerequisite: LEG 110S .
