Real Estate Certificate

The Real Estate Certificate provides outgoing, motivated and self-directed individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to enter the real estate field. Approved by the State of Ohio Department of Commerce, Division of Real Estate, the curriculum includes the four required pre-licensure courses, which prepare students for the state licensure exam. The program also provides students with basic courses in accounting, economics, salesmanship and mathematics. An Ohio Real Estate Commission-approved continuing education course required for all salespeople within the first year after licensure is also offered by Edison State.

Program Outcomes ►
The student will

demonstrate knowledge of Ohio Real Estate Principles;
develop knowledge of licensing and agency laws, legal and financial terminology, and the government role in real estate;
demonstrate understanding of the ethical standards of the real estate profession;
develop proficiency and understanding Ohio Real Estate Appraisal and Finance; and
communicate effectively.
