Semiconductor Processing Short-Term Technical Certificate

Transfer Agreements  


The Semiconductor Processing Short-Term Technical Certificate provides students with the knowledge of processes for entry-level positions in the semiconductor industry. Topics include introduction to semiconductors, clean rooms, nanofabrication, etching, diffusion, manufacturing techniques, metrology, and safety.
NOTE  Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE  Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing. 
  

Program Outcomes ►
The student will
understand the processes required to create microelectronic components manufactured from semiconductor materials;
have an appreciation for the types of positions and career opportunities available in the semiconductor industry;
understand the terminology and instrumentation required to express and measure components at the scale of mico- and nano-circuits; and
be able to describe a wide range of manufacturing processes that may be used in conjunction with semiconductor manufacturing to produce components for digital products.
