The Small Business Accounting Short-Term Technical Certificate is designed for individuals who are responsible for the accounting and finance functions of a small busienss. The program will teach you how to compute, classify, and record numerical data to keep financial records for a small business. You’ll become familiar with Generallly Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), accounting software, payroll accounting procedures, and income tax preparation. All credits earned can also be applied toward an associate degree in accounting. Short-Term Technical Certificates consist of three to seven courses that can be completed in a year or less. To receive a Certificate of Completion, students must complete the required courses with a cumulative GPA of “C” or better and complete an application for certificate.
NOTE  Federal Financial Aid is not available for Short-Term Technical Certificate programs, but scholarship assistance may be available.
NOTE  Students pursuing a Short-Term Technical Certificate may need to satisfy course prerequisites which may include placement testing.
