Agricultural Maintenance | A.A.S.

The Agricultural Maintenance program integrates the agricultural sciences and business with training in industrial maintenance and systems integration. This blended program prepares students to install, repair, program and maintain the vast array of systems and components used across the industries of agriculture. Offered exclusively at the Edison State at Greenville location.♦
Some possible careers include ►
family farming, entrepreneur, agriculture equipment sales, equipment maintenance technician, safety coordinator, horticulture/greenhouse manager, production manager, agriculture field service technician, electrical and instrumentation technician, electro-mechanical technician, automation equipment technician and industrial maintenance
Program Outcomes ►
The student will
- demonstrate skills in oral and written communication;
- recognize the value of good ethical standards and their application to business and agriculture;
- develop industry awareness and skills for agriculture and related industries;
- develop leadership and team building to promote collaboration and advocacy;
- analyze how industry behavior contributes to success, performance and compliance;
- demonstrate current and emerging strategies and technologies used in agriculture;
- develop skills and knowledge in entrepreneurship, financial literacy and business operations;
- examine and employ economic principles, concepts and policies to accomplish organizational goals and profitability;
- demonstrate ability to evaluate the situation and recommend action;
- demonstrate understanding of proper care and production of plant, animal or natural resource products; and
- demonstrate ability to use latest technology to evaluate data and make productive decisions.
