Career Outlook

Transfer Agreements

The Paramedic certificate is pending approval by the ODHE, HLC and the DOE.

The Paramedic Certificate is listed as an in-demand job that is in critical shortage on the Ohio Means Jobs website. The Paramedic program trains and educates allied health professionals whose primary focus is to provide advanced emergency medical care for critical and emergent patients. Paramedic students will gain the complex knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care and transportation. Paramedics function as part of a comprehensive EMS response, under medical oversight, and perform interventions with the basic and advanced equipment typically found on a ambulance or fire/rescue vehicle. The paramedic is a vital link from the scene into the health care system.

The Paramedic program is offered exclusively at the Edison State at Troy  location.

In addition to complying with the College’s general admission procedures, applicants must
