Criminal Justice/Computer Forensics | A.A.S.

The Criminal Justice/Computer Forensics option is a two-year program combining criminal justice with network and computer security. Students will take courses to prepare them to detect illegal network acts and learn how to obtain and ready evidence for prosecution of criminal acts.

►examine the tools used for forensics analysis;
►utilize the tools for forensics analysis;
►analyze and develop processes and procedures to report forensics findings;
►demonstrate an understanding of both technical and nontechnical methods used for espionage; and
►demonstrate an ability to successfully perform forensics analysis, develop proper reports of the findings and appropriately present the reports.

Semester 1

CIT 243S Advanced Computer Forensics	3	C	►Student to submit graduation application. ►Advisor to review student education plan to ensure graduation readiness. ►Academies begin in July and January. Application packets must be submitted at least 6 weeks prior to start.

♦ Students who do not wish to attend the police officer academy may substitute alternate coursework to tailor the degree to fit their professional goals. Alternate coursework includes, but is not limited to CRJ 211S, CRJ 212S, SSV 211S, SSV 212S, SOC 225S, PSY 225S, PSY 227S, PSY 230S or PLS 225S.
