NUR 112S Vulnerable Populations of Practical Nursing

6.00 credit hours

Builds on the basic nursing skills gained in NUR 100S and NUR 102S. Content is designed to prepare a student to care for clients on the continuum from birth to death. Emphasis is placed upon content related to death and dying; surgical nursing; critical care; obstetrical and pediatric nursing; and mental health nursing. Practical application is achieved through clinical experiences at inpatient facilities and various community clinical agencies. There is a capstone practicum experience at the end of this semester. Prerequisite: Department acceptance into the nursing program is required. Prerequisite or Co-requisite: BIO 242S , NUR 110S , and NUR 114S  with a grade of “C” of better. Lab Fee: $236 (Additional fees will apply for online, flex and webflex sections.)
