MED 220S Medical Assisting Clinical Procedures II

3.00 credit hours

Builds on the knowledge and techniques learned in Clinical Procedures I. Provides students training in electrocardiography; respiratory testing; sterile technique; identifying and caring for surgical instruments; assisting with minor office surgeries; and pharmacology principles, including prescriptions, dosages and injections. Prerequisite: Satisfactory assessment score or grade of ‘C’ or better in MTH 093D and a grade of ‘C’ or better in MED 120S . Lab Fee: $40 (Additional fees will apply for online, flex and webflex sections.)
