MED 120S Medical Assisting Clinical Procedures I

Introduction to basic clinical procedures used by Medical Assistants in the physician’s office. Procedures and skills for taking vital signs and patient histories; preparing patients for, and assisting with, various treatments and procedures; and maintaining the exam room. Topics in professionalism, health care professionals and settings are also covered. Prerequisite: MTH 093D or satisfactory assessment score and departmental permission. Lab Fee: $87.25 (Additional fees will apply for online, flex and webflex sections. Fee includes background check.)
