NUR 210S Role of Nurse in Clinical Applications I

5.00 credit hours

For the Licensed Practical Nurse transitioning into the Associate Degree Nursing program and focuses on the knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to practice evidence-based, patient-centered nursing. Competency areas include focused assessment of human needs and focused physical assessment of patients with medical-surgical and mental-health changes. Focus areas include developing understanding teamwork and collaboration, quality improvement, safety and informatics when changing one’s role and responsibility from practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse to practice as a Registered Nurse. Prerequisite: Departmental acceptance into the nursing program. Lab Fee: $236
