Network Computer Management Option, A.A.B.

The Network Computer Management degree option provides fundamental knowledge and the latest technologies in data communications. The Network Computer Management option also allows students to apply Cisco course credit toward their AAB degree.

Program Outcomes

The student will:

  1. Demonstrate and show appreciation for Edison’s Core Values;
  2. Demonstrate general education competence in communication, humanities, mathematics and social sciences;
  3. Evaluate and analyze problems and apply the tools of logical problem solving;
  4. Demonstrate basic computer skills in areas such as applications, operating systems, hardware and programming;
  5. Support new technology and demonstrate sufficient knowledge to adapt to this technology.

In addition to the five general CIT outcomes, the Network Computer Management student will:

  1. Examine the elements supporting data communications and systems;
  2. Show how the various IT components interact to support the Network Communications Management field;
  3. Demonstrate an ability to use the conceptual and applied information to solve business related technological problems and issues;
  4. Recognize and understand the dynamic nature of information technology. The Network Computer Management certificate is a one-year program incorporating the Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) courses. Edison Community College is a Cisco Academy commissioned to deliver training.
