Electronics Engineering Technology

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Academic Programs

The Electronics Engineering Technology program can lead to a broad range of career choices such as electronics and control systems design, research and development, manufacturing, and maintenance. Students are prepared for these possibilities through a broad background in mathematics, science, basic electrical circuits with hands-on experiential training, electronics, and written and oral communications.

In addition to a general program in Electronics Engineering Technology designed for transfer, there is a specialty major, Automation and Robotics. Graduates with these majors can function in a variety of occupations and disciplines.

As a career degree, the curricula in these majors are based on jobs skills and requirements rather than transferability. However, many colleges and universities in Ohio and across the nation accept these majors. Certain universities, particularly the University of Dayton, now offer Bachelor's degrees on the Edison campus. Students interested in transfer should work closely with their advisor to plan their curriculum appropriately.
