The Education program of study is intended for students who wish to pursue a baccalaureate degree in the field of teaching early childhood, middle school, high school, or special education. The two-year degree will serve as sixty or more semester credits that will apply towards a baccalaureate degree. Students intending to enroll in the pre-education degree may select from either the Associate of Arts or the Associate of Science degrees depending upon the concentration of teaching the student intends as a focus in a four-year institution.
To establish the correct degree, either Associate of Arts or Associate of Science and the appropriate use of the courses listed, the student should contact the baccalaureate institution to which the student will transfer the associate of arts or science degree. The student should first meet with an Edison academic advisor who can provide the appropriate registration information and contacts for the baccalaureate program.
