SSV 237S Death and Dying

3.00 credit hours

Sociological exploration of death and dying in the United States. Examines how death/dying is integrated into the American society. Special topics include suicide, terminal illness, murder, right-to-die issues, death survival, and multicultural perspectives on death. The student will examine personal attitudes and beliefs, while gaining an understanding and respect for the beliefs of others. Recommended: Recommended preparation: SSV 111S .
