PHY 245S Basic Physics Concepts

5.00 credit hours

Concepts and applications of physics including motion, forces, energy and conservation laws, properties of matter, waves and sound, electricity, electromagnetism, and optics. Uses activity/inquiry based learning and mathematics to develop the science process skills in elementary and middle school education majors. Class meets seven hours per week including laboratory time. Prerequisite: MTH 126S  and CHM 245S  or equivalent. Co-requisite: MTH 127S . Lab Fee: $35
